Connections Scorecard

AEMO’s connections scorecard reports key NEM generation connection statistics including volumes of projects progressing through the connection stages and timeframes. This reporting aims to provide industry with increased visibility on key connection metrics as we work together to build the required generation capacity in the NEM.

From September 2023, the scorecard format has been expanded to include:

• Additional information for each stage of the connection process
• Project movement between stages
• Detailed trend analysis on connection volumes and duration
• Performance monitoring against historical performance
• Refer to the guide below for further information to assist in understanding the scorecard.

Financial Year 2023-24

Note: Three key milestones are measured. The final milestone measures when plant reaches its full capacity during the commissioning phase. Earlier scorecards measured when all commissioning activities were complete.
