2026 ISP updates

The 2026 ISP benefitted from the review and input of close to 2,000 stakeholders representing consumers, communities, industry, and governments. AEMO thanks all stakeholders who took the time to get involved, attend forums and webinars and provide feedback. AEMO also wishes to convey sincere thanks to 2026 ISP Consumer Panel members Mark Henley, Craig Memery, Beverly Hughson and Dr Jarra Hicks, for their contribution to the development of the 2026 ISP.

The involvement of energy industry, consumer and community representatives, governments, energy market authorities, investors and developers and network planners is essential to develop a robust plan for the efficient development of the energy system, for the benefit of all Australians as we work to achieve a net-zero future.

AEMO published regular news updates about the ISP from 2024 to the finalisation of the 2026 ISP in June 2026. This page lists all previous ISP news updates. These updates featured a section authored by the ISP Consumer Panel, ‘in their own words’.
