2026 ISP Non-network options consultation

Where the Integrated System Plan (ISP) or a Draft ISP identifies an actionable ISP project, the National Electricity Rules (NER) require AEMO to conduct consultation on non-network options to meet the identified need. AEMO consulted on non-network options for the Switching Station Near Wondalga project, identified as actionable in the Draft 2026 ISP, from December 2025 to March 2026, the details of which are linked below.

The 2026 ISP identified three new actionable projects that were not identified in previous ISPs or the Draft 2026 ISP. Further detail on the non-network options consultations for these projects is linked below. AEMO welcomes submissions from stakeholders on non-network options for these projects until 6.00pm (AEST) on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
