National Electricity Market Overview - elearning and face-to-face

With various jurisdictions relaxing local COVID-19 restrictions, AEMO will begin slowly re-introducing in-person course delivery for a limited selection of courses. Attendance at courses scheduled for in-person delivery remains subject to local restrictions, and AEMO may cancel or amend a scheduled course at any time to safeguard the health of participants and presenters.

The popular National Electricity Market (NEM) Overview course broadly covers the NEM and its operational requirements. The course runs for a full day (in-person) or for 2 half-day sessions in the same week (virtual).

Learning outcomes:

Attendees of the course will gain a broad understanding of how the NEM operates as a physical power system and a wholesale market for electricity.

Completion of the eLearning prior to the instructor-led course is not compulsory but is highly recommended, especially for those new to the energy sector.
