Regulatory investment tests for transmission
AEMO conducts regulatory investment tests for transmission (RIT-T) on potential transmission network and non-network projects.
The purpose of the RIT-T, as set out at clause 5.16 of the electricity Rules, is to identify the credible option that maximises the present value of net economic benefit to all those who produce, consume and transport electricity in the market.
Eastern Victoria Grid Reinforcement RIT-T
AEMO Victorian Planning (AVP) is undertaking this Eastern Victoria Grid Reinforcement regulatory investment test for transmission (RIT-T) to assess the technical and economic benefit of credible options to maintain reliable and secure supply to the eastern metropolitan Melbourne area.

Victorian System Strength Requirement RIT-T
