Methodology for AEMO Intervention Event Compensation
This document outlines AEMO’s methodology and approach for calculating AEMO intervention event compensation required by the NER for Affected Participants (including eligible persons), Affected Load Participants, and Ancillary Service Providers who are dispatched differently as a result of an AEMO intervention event.

Demand terms in EMMS Data Model
This document describes the composition, use and publication of the different types of demands and associated terms used in AEMO’s Electricity Market Management Systems (EMMS) Data Model for NEM participants or other interested parties. The particular focus of this paper is “as generated” demand, although other demands are defined.

Fast Start Unit Inflexibility Profile - Process Description
This document provides information on the dispatch inflexibility profile associated with fast start plant and explains how AEMO’s central dispatch system uses these profiles in scheduling, pricing, and dispatching the NEM.

Automation of Negative Residue Management
This document explains the process of managing negative inter-regional settlement residues in NEM. It describes how Negative Residue Management (NRM) constraint equations are used to prevent further accumulation of negative residues and outlines the NRM data that AEMO publishes.

Schedule of Constraint Violation Penalty factors
The Schedule of Constraint Violation Penalty (CVP) Factors provides a schedule of constraint types and the associated CVP factors that are used in AEMO’s Constraint Relaxation Procedure. It includes the various rules to establish the relative priority order of new and current CVP factors for resolving dispatch conflicts between the different constraint types in NEMDE.

Over-Constrained Dispatch Rerun Process
This document describes the process AEMO uses to rerun NEMDE for over-constrained dispatch. Here the right-hand side (RHS) values of the violating constraints are relaxed and another NEMDE run is performed with the relaxed constraints. The objective of the rerun is to remove the constraint violation cost component from the pricing outcome in either the energy or FCAS market.

Pre-Dispatch Sensitivities v.7.0
This document explains the Pre-Dispatch Sensitivities used in the NEM to predict how changes in electricity demand or generator availability affect prices and interconnector flows. It outlines the scenarios AEMO uses to model these changes and how the resulting forecasts are shared with market participants to support planning and decision-making.

FCAS Model in NEMDE
This document explains how the Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) model is used in the National Electricity Market Dispatch Engine (NEMDE) to maintain grid stability. It describes how AEMO ensures that energy and FCAS bids are optimized within technical limits, using constraint like ramp rates and capacity limits, to balance energy supply and frequency control efficiently.

Guide to Administered Pricing
This guide discusses when the administrated price period (APP) will be triggered and the operation during APP in both energy market and ancillary services market. It also explains the impact on connected regions with a region at the administered price cap, and the end of APP.

Intervention Pricing Methodology
This document details AEMO’s methodology to setting dispatch and ancillary service prices at the value which AEMO, in its reasonable opinion considers would have been applied had the AEMO intervention event not occurred.

Guide to Intervention Pricing
This guide provides general information about the operation of intervention price provisions in the NEM. It explains AEMO’s processes during an intervention pricing event, including declaration, operation, impacts on connected regions and compensation.

Guide to Mis-pricing Information
This guide explains the mis-pricing, which occurs when local electricity prices differ from regional prices due to network congestion. It explains how mis-pricing is calculated, why it matters and how AMEO provides data to help identify and address grid congestion issues.

Interconnector Limit Setter Reporting Changes
This document explains changes to how AEMO reports interconnector flow limits in the NEM. The updates improve the way constraints are prioritized and reported, ensuring that the ‘driving’ constraint responsible for setting the limit is accurately identified, particularly when multiple constraints overlap.

Automated Procedures for Identifying Intervals Subject to Review
This document explains how AEMO calculates its thresholds based on prices, interconnector flows and FCAS requirements to identify and review potential errors in market dispatch and pricing. It details the process for assessing and correcting affected intervals to ensure market operations remain accurate and transparent.
