AEMO today announced that Rebecca Irwin has been appointed to the company's executive, in the role of Executive General Manager Government & Stakeholder.
Rebecca brings significant leadership experience to AEMO, including senior leadership roles across business and the bureaucracy.
In making the announcement AEMO CEO Daniel Westerman said Rebecca's experience at major industrial energy consumers including Adelaide Brighton, Newcrest and BHP, means she brings an understanding of the challenges facing businesses through the energy transition.
"Rebecca will bring her significant commercial acumen to our business, as we continue to engage with industry and community on the opportunities of the energy transition," he said.
Rebecca will commence with AEMO on Monday 29 April.
