Cancellation- Inter-regional transfer limit variation - constraint automation to manage Power System Security in NSW region - 11/06/2025
Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 127501
In order to maintain the power system in a secure operating state in the NSW region, AEMO invoked automated constraint set CA_SYDS_575BC182 from 1755 hrs until 1810 hrs.
This constraint set contains equations with the following interconnector on the LHS;

At 1713 hrs the Belmont (H3) No.1 275 kV bus and Loganlea - Belmont (829) 275 kV line tripped.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

A planned outage of Collector - Yass (3L) 330kV line in the NSW region was scheduled from 0700 hrs 10/06/2025 to 1500 hrs 16/06/2025.
The outage has been completed and Collector - Yass (3L) 330kV line returned to service at 1611 hrs 11/06/2025

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR2 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the QLD region for the following period:
[1.] From 1800 hrs 11/06/2025 to 1900 hrs 11/06/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 881 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 856 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.
