Inter-regional transfer limit variation VIC - 8/08/16

A planned outage of Moorabool - Sydenham No. 1 500 kV Line and Sydenham - South Morang No. 1 500 kV Line in the VIC region required an update of the outage constraints.

The following constraint set was invoked at 10:00 hrs.

The joining of the 275 kV lines in the QLD region, 809 South Pine - Rocklea and 838 South Pine - Blackwall have been re-energised and bypassed South Pine at 1700 hrs.

The outage is estimated to be completed in January 2017.

Update Inter-Regional Transfer Limit Variation - Heywood Interconnector

Refer to Market Notice 54162

On advice from the Inter-Network test group and the AEMO Test Coordinator, the Black Range series capacitors are expected to be available for full service at 1200 hrs on 5 August 2016. On the same day, AEMO plans to commence Inter-Network tests at the stage two hold point two. For details, please refer the Inter-Network test program located on AEMO website (http://www.aemo.com.au/Stakeholder-Consultation/Consultations/Heywood-interconnector-upgrade---program-for-inter-network-tests)

The following transfer limits shall be applicable at this hold point:

Vic to SA via HYTS IC <= 600 MW
Vic to SA via HYTS plus Murraylink <= 820 MW

SA to Vic via HYTS IC <= 500 MW
SA to Vic via HYTS plus Murraylink <= 650 MW

In addition to the above hold point transfer limits, constraints applicable to normal service of the series capacitors will apply.
The above limits supersede the limits specified for this hold point in the Inter-Network test program.

All revisions to inter-regional transfer limits at various hold points of the Inter-Network tests will be advised in advance.

AEMO has applied a constraint to the Terranora Interconnector to manage oscillations due to constraint action for the outage of Armidale - Coffs Harbour 96C 132 kV transmission line.

Constraint Set #N-Q-MNSP1_E revoked from 2000 hrs

This constraint is set to 100 MW in the direction Queensland to New South Wales and is expected to remain invoked until 2000 hrs

This constraint set contains an equation with the following interconnector on the LHS.
