Refer Market Notice 58390
At 1644 hrs the Broken Hill No 2 220/22 kV Transformer and No 2 Section 22 kV Bus tripped. This equipment has been returned to service.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

(Also subsequent loss of Broken Hill Solar Farm)
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has been advised of disconnection of 14 MW of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage and is still under investigation.
The Bus and Transformer are still out of service

At 0307 hrs trip of the Murarrie No.1 110 kV Bus coincident with trip of 7270 Murarrie - Lytton Bulk Supply 110 kV Line.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 0840 hrs 29/03/17 the Mudgeeraba No. 2 and No. 4 110 kV Bus tripped.
The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 0840 hrs 29/03/17 the Mudgeeraba No. 2 and No. 4 110 kV Bus tripped. This bus trip also tripped Mudgeeraba - Terranora No. 758 110 kV Line which interrupted supply to Terranora substation.
Note: Mudgeeraba - Terranora No. 757 110 kV Line was out of service (planned outage)
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
The interruption to supply at Terranora substation resulted in approximately 35 MW of load lost.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

In accordance with clause 4.8.9 of the National Electricity Rules AEMO has issued a direction to a participant in the Qld region.
The direction was necessary to maintain the power system in a secure operating state.
The direction was issued at 1440 hrs and is expected to stay in place until 0700 hrs 29/03/17.
