AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Refer to AEMO Market Notices: 55353 and 54934.

Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in South Australia Region starting from 0700hrs 18/10/2016 to 1700hrs 22/10/2016.

AEMO declares Forecast LOR2 conditions in the South Australia region for the above period. During this period, an outage is scheduled for Heywood to South East No.2 275 kV transmission line between Victoria and South Australia.

On the occurrence of a credible contingency during this outage, South Australia region could separate from the rest of the NEM and is likely to result in interruptions to power supply in South Australia.

There are sufficient capacity reserves in the South Australia region to meet electricity demand but following the next credible contingency it may not be possible to bring the required additional capacity into service in time to avoid automatic under-frequency load shedding causing interruptions to power supplies in South Australia.

EMMS MarketNet web access will operate as normal during the changes. No outage is expected, although you may be logged out and need to log in again.
For example, participants who use the VAr Dispatch web portal will need to re-enter their login and password credentials when next accessing the web site after.

The web addresses (URL) used to access the web pages remain unchanged.
