Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 54781
An Actual LOR2 condition is declared for the South Australia region from 0720 hrs until further notice due to the planned outage of the Morrabool Terminal Station- Tarrone Terminal Station 500kV Line.
If a credible contingency event occurs during this period the South Australia region would separate from the rest of the NEM and is likely to result in interruptions to power supplies.
There are sufficient capacity reserves in the South Australia region to meet electricity demand but it may not be possible to bring the required additional capacity into service in time to avoid automatic under-frequency load shedding causing power interruptions.

Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in South Australia Region for the following periods:
On 31/08/2016 from 0700 hrs to 1700 hrs;
On 01/09/2016 from 0700 hrs to 1700 hrs; and
On 02/09/2016 from 0700 hrs to 1700 hrs.
AEMO declares Forecast LOR2 conditions for the South Australia region for the above periods. During these periods, outages are scheduled for Moorabool to Tarrone No.1 500 kV transmission line in Victoria region.
On the occurrence of a credible contingency during these planned outages, South Australia region could separate from the rest of the NEM and is likely to result in interruptions to power supplies in South Australia.
There are sufficient capacity reserves in the South Australia region to meet electricity demand but following the next credible contingency it may not be possible to bring the required additional capacity into service in time to avoid automatic under-frequency load shedding causing interruptions to power supplies in South Australia.

AEMO declares forecast LOR2 conditions for the South Australia region for the following periods.
Wednesday 13th July 2016 from 1800 hrs to 1830 hrs
The minimum reserve available is 163 MW.
Thursday 14th July 2016 from 1830 hrs to 1930 hrs
The minimum reserve available is 171 MW.
This calculation is based on a LOR2 trigger level of 200 MW.
