Protected Industrial Action - Longford gas production 19/06/2023
Esso Australia have advised that Longford gas production has been exempted from the current MUA Protected Industrial Action - production has returned to planned levels.
Esso Australia statement:
"Esso Australia is pleased to advise that during a conference at the Fair Work Commission on Saturday 17 June, the MUA advised that activities carried out by the vessels Skandi Darwin and Skandi Feistein to support the production of gas from Esso Australia's Bass Strait operations will be exempt from the current Protected Industrial Action (PIA).
Work to support maintenance and decommissioning projects undertaken by the Skandi Darwin is still subject to the PIA, however this is not expected to impact gas production.
As a result, forecast gas production from Longford has returned to planned levels."

Planned outage of Tailem Bend - South East 275 kV No 1 line in the South Australia region on 21/06/2023
The Tailem Bend - South East 275 kV No 1 line in the South Australian (SA) region is planned to be out of service from 0830 hrs to 1800 hrs on 21/06/2023.
A credible contingency event during this planned outage could leave SA connected to the NEM only via the South Australian 132 kV network.
To maintain system security following this contingency AEMO will need to:
- Initiate the orderly separation of SA from the rest of the NEM; and
- Source increased local regulation FCAS within SA.
Refer AEMO Network Outage Schedule (NOS) for further details.
