Independent Expert Report - Directions to SA BESS between 2 and 4 Feb 2020

Between 02 and 04 February, AEMO issued directions to Battery Energy Storage Systems in South Australia. 

In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7B (c)(1), AEMO is also required to appoint an independent expert to assess and determine the additional compensation claims for the Directed Participant that exceeds the $20,000 threshold and exceeds the $100,000 aggregate threshold. 
In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7A (b1) for services other than Energy and Market Ancillary Services, AEMO is required to appoint an independent expert to assess and determine the fair payment price for those Directed Participants. 

AEMO nominated an independent expert on 17 April 2020 with no objections received. AEMO then appointed Sami Aoude from IES Advisory Services Pty Ltd as the independent expert to determine both additional compensation claims and the fair payment price for the services provided by the Directed Participants.
