Essential Energy has identified a number of limitations on the Essential Energy distribution network supplying the Quirindi area of NSW.

Given that network options to correct these limitations include consideration of significant works on the subtransmission system and would be a new large network asset investment, Essential Energy has undertaken consultation on options to correct them.

As the third and final stage of this consultation, and in accordance with Clause 5.6.2 (Network Development) and Section 8.9 (Rules Consultation Procedures) of the National Electricity Rules, Essential Energy intends to proceed with the recommendation concluded in the Final Report.

Information on the network, the network loads, the identified constraints, the options identified to address them, the economic assessment of those options and submissions on the Consultation Information Report are provided in a Draft Report and subsequent Final Report, which are published at:
