Non-credible contingency event - Victoria region - Monday, 30 May 2016
Jeeralang No 2 220 kV Busbar tripped at 1339 hrs in the Victoria region.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
To manage power system security for this event the following constraint sets have been invoked.

At 0851 hrs the South East - Tailem Bend No. 1 275 kV Line and the South East No. 1 275 kV SVC tripped.
At 0930 hrs the South East - Tailem Bend No. 1 275 kV Line was returned to service
At 1617 hrs the South East No. 1 275 kV SVC was returned to service
The following Constraint Sets were revoked at 1630 hrs.

The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

At 1617 hrs the South East No. 1 275 kV SVC was returned to service

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.
