At 1208 hrs 17/05/2019 the Broken Hill No 2 220/22 kV Transformer and No 2 Section 22 kV Bus tripped.
(Also subsequent loss of Broken Hill Solar Farm and Silverton Wind Farm)
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has been advised of disconnection of 30 MW of bulk electrical load
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage and is still under investigation.
The Bus and Transformer are still out of service

At 1649 hrs the Pioneer Valley - Mackay 132 kV 7451 line opened at T38 Mackay end only.
At 1810 hrs the Line was restored.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
AEMO is not satisfied that this non credible event is unlikely to re-occur.
AEMO has therefore reclassified this event as a credible contingency event until further notice.

At 0817 hrs the Nebo SVC tripped during planned switching of the Nebo No.1 275/132kV transformer. While the Nebo No.1 transformer remains out of service, the trip of the Nebo No.2 275/132kV transformer will result in the trip of the Nebo SVC.
AEMO is not satisfied that this non credible event is unlikely to occur.
AEMO has therefore reclassified the trip of the Nebo SVC and the Nebo No.2 275/132kV transformer as a credible contingency event until further notice.

At 0136 hrs the Brinkworth - Templers West 275 kV Line tripped. At the same time CB 4552 and CB 4555 at Angaston opened.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

At 1744 hrs the following un-planned outage occurred.
South Pine - SS HIL (Hayes Inlet) 741 110 kV Line
South Pine - SS HIL (Hayes Inlet) 742 110 kV Line
SS GFN (Griffin) - SS HIL (Hayes Inlet) 7358 110 kV Line
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
There was approximately 55 MW of load lost at SS HIL (Hayes Inlet) for approximately 20 seconds.
The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 0815 hrs the Ardrossan West - Dalrymple 132 kV Line tripped at Dalrymple end only, Dalrymple No1 and No2 Transformers tripped and Dalrymple -Wattle Point 132 kV Line tripped.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 1939 hrs the Tully Cardwell No. 7389 132 kV line tripped and reclosed and the Yabulu South - Ingham South No. 7133 132 kV line tripped at the Ingham South end only.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has been advised of the disconnection of 14MW of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
AEMO is not satisfied that this non credible event is unlikely to re-occur.
AEMO has therefore reclassified this event as a credible contingency event until further notice.
