Update - Non-credible contingency event - Torrens Island 66 kV East Bus - SA region - 22/09/2021
At 1740 hrs the Torrens Island 66 kV East bus tripped. The bus was returned to service at 1846 hrs.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 0916 hrs the Springvale No. 1 220 kV busbar tripped.

At 0925 hrs the Springvale No. 1 220 kV busbar was returned to service.
Further investigation has identified that this was a credible contingency event.

The cause of this non credible contingency has been identified. AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 2215 hrs the Ross - Townsville South 7249 132 kV line tripped and auto-reclosed and the Kennedy Energy Park Wind Farm tripped.

At 1822 hrs at Canowie substation circuit breakers CB 6501 and CB 6502 tripped which resulted in the following:
Opening of the Canowie - Robertstown 275 kV Line at the Canowie end only
Opening of the Canowie - Mt Lock 275 kV Line at the Canowie end only
Disconnection of Hallett substation and Hallet WF
At 1826 hrs CB 6501 at Canowie was manually closed which returned the Canowie - Robertstown 275 kV Line and the Canowie - Mt Lock 275 kV Line into service.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
