Refer AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICES 82280 and 82296

At 0255 hrs the Kareeya PS Units 1, 2 and 4 tripped.

Further information on non-credible contingency event has been identified.

Based on the current information AEMO has now reclassified the loss of Kareeya Power Station as a credible contingency event from 0830 hrs until further notice.

At 1833 hrs the Glenn Innes - Tenterfield (96R) 132 kV Line was returned to service.

At 0947 hrs the Tenterfield - Lismore tee Casino (96L) 132 kV Line was returned to service.

The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised of the disconnection of bulk electrical load of approximately 200MW.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

At 1544 hrs at Canberra substation 132 kV circuit breakers 4112 and 9762 tripped.
A5 1637 hrs at Canberra substation 132 kV circuit breakers 4112 and 9762 were manually closed.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

Non-credible contingency event - Victoria region - 23/11/2020

At 0933 hrs at the Wodonga terminal station the No.1 and No.2 330/66/22 kV transformers tripped.
As a consequence of the protection operation the Dederang - Wodonga and the Jindera - Wodonga 330kV lines were offloaded.
51 MW of local load was lost.

At 0952 hrs the Dederang - Wodonga and the Jindera - Wodonga 330kV lines were restored to service.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.
