The direction was necessary to maintain the power system in a secure operating state.
The direction was issued at 1745 hrs 18 Mar 2018, with effect from 2200 hrs 18 Mar 2018. The direction is expected to stay in place until 0700 hrs 19 Mar 2018
For the purposes of the National Electricity Rules this is a direction under clause 4.8.9(a).
