A planned outage of Red Cliffs - Buronga 0X1 220 kV Line in the Vic region was scheduled from 0500 hrs 17/03/2024 to 1900 hrs 17/03/2024.

The outage has been completed and returned to service at 1655 hrs 17/03/2024.

At 0600 hrs 15/03/2024 there was a short notice outage of Robertstown - Tungkillo No. 2 275 kV Line.
At 0615 hrs 15/03/2024 there was a short notice outage of Tungkillo - Para No. 1 275 kV Line.

In order to maintain the power system in a secure operating state in the SA region, AEMO has invoked the following automated constraint sets.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Following review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 1300 hrs AEST on Monday 18 March AEMO will:

Increase the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Raise (R1) Contingency FCAS from 225 MW to 250 MW

Retain the existing cap on dispatch of Very Fast Lower (L1) Contingency FCAS at 125 MW

No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equation changes will be made on this date.

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

SA
Adelaide West Terrace (39+ Deg C): 11th Mar
Mt Gambier Ap (39+ Deg C): 11th Mar
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 11th Mar, 12th Mar, 13th Mar

VIC
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Mar

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
