Updated Victorian system normal voltage oscillation limit
AEMO has completed a comprehensive review on voltage oscillation issue in south-west Victoria with consideration of wider asynchronous generators in the area. The voltage oscillation occurs in the south-west region when Heywood interconnector flow is higher than 500 MW from South Australia to Victoria.
The limit will manage the total MW output from Stockyard Hill, Dundonnell and Macarthur wind farms during period when flow on Heywood interconnector higher than 500 MW towards Victoria.
The new constraint equation includes asynchronous generators in south-west Victoria on the left-hand side. This limit is to replace the existing south-west Victoria voltage oscillation limit.
