Revision of technical envelope - Basslink Loss of Link (LOL) time

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Revision of technical envelope - Basslink Loss of Link (LOL) time.

AEMO has determined that a change to the technical envelope in relation to the Basslink LOL time is required due to abnormal conditions related to lightning in the vicinity of Basslink.

Under normal conditions the expected LOL time is 400ms.

Constraint set F-I_BL_650 has been invoked from 1500 hrs 03/02/2023 until further notice.

This constraint set determines Basslink flow and FCAS requirements for the Tasmania region for the loss of Basslink based on a LOL time of 650ms.
