AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology's Space Weather forecasting centre has cancelled the following notification.
Severe space weather watch: A recent Coronal Mass Ejection associated with a solar flare is anticipated to impact the Earth within the next 48 hours.

Severe Space Weather Watch Notification 18//02/2023
The Australian Bureau of Meteorology's Space Weather Forecasting Centre has issued the following notification.
Severe space weather watch: A recent Coronal Mass Ejection associated with a solar flare is anticipated to impact the Earth within the next 48 hours.
Increased awareness of critical infrastructure is advised.
Please monitor the SWS website for further updates at https://www.sws.bom.gov.au
If required; actions will be taken as per AEMO's system operating procedure SO_OP3715 Power System Security Guidelines.

Cessation - Revision of technical envelope - Basslink Loss of Link (LOL) time.

AEMO has determined that the change to the technical envelope in relation to the Basslink LOL time is no longer required and is cancelled from 2000 hrs 17/02/2023.
Constraint set F-I_BL_650 revoked

Revision of technical envelope - Basslink Loss of Link (LOL) time
Revision of technical envelope - Basslink Loss of Link (LOL) time.
AEMO has determined that a change to the technical envelope in relation to the Basslink LOL time is required due to abnormal conditions related to lightning in the vicinity of Basslink.
Under normal conditions the expected LOL time is 400ms.
Constraint set F-I_BL_650 has been invoked from 1550 hrs 17/02/2023 until further notice.
This constraint set determines Basslink flow and FCAS requirements for the Tasmania region for the loss of Basslink based on a LOL time of 650ms.
