NEM Local Temperature Alerts for QLD from 27 Oct 2023 to 31 Oct 2023
AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.
QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 31st Oct
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

QNI Minor testing (NSW to Qld) 16th October 2023

There is an opportunity for testing QNI Minor for flows from NSW to Qld up to 750 MW on Monday 16th October from 1130 to 1500hrs.
This test includes a trip and reclose of a line in northern NSW.

Increase to QNI limit to the next hold point of 1300 MW Qld to NSW - 10th October 2023

AEMO, TransGrid, Powerlink have reviewed the test results following the QNI minor testing on 26 August 2023. The next hold point can now be released.
The hold point of 1300 MW from Qld to NSW will be implemented as of 1300 hrs 10th October 2023.

Fast Frequency Response Market Start - 9th October 2023

Following consultation with stakeholders and work undertaken by AEMO, the very fast raise and very fast lower FCAS markets will commence on Monday 9 October 2023 at 1300 hours (Market Time).

Changes to time error management from 9 October 2023
An updated Frequency Operating Standard takes effect from 9 October 2023.
This updated standard removes limits on accumulated time error. As a result, from 10:00 AEST on 9 October 2023 AEMO will cease procuring additional Regulation FCAS in response to increased time error.
After this time the system normal constraint equations F_MAIN+NIL_DYN_LREG and F_MAIN+NIL_DYN_RREG will be removed from dispatch.
