Actual LOR2 South Australia Region - 31 Aug 2016
Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 54781
An Actual LOR2 condition is declared for the South Australia region from 0720 hrs until further notice due to the planned outage of the Morrabool Terminal Station- Tarrone Terminal Station 500kV Line.
If a credible contingency event occurs during this period the South Australia region would separate from the rest of the NEM and is likely to result in interruptions to power supplies.
There are sufficient capacity reserves in the South Australia region to meet electricity demand but it may not be possible to bring the required additional capacity into service in time to avoid automatic under-frequency load shedding causing power interruptions.

Updates to Victorian system normal stability constraint equations
The Victorian system normal constraint equations that determine Victorian export limits based on transient stability and voltage stability at Heywood for Victoria to South Australia flows will be updated to a revised formulation on 25 July 2016 after 1330 hrs. This revised formulation models the effects of higher flows on Victoria to SA on Heywood and the new series capacitors at Black Range.
The changes are to the following constraint equations :
V::N_NIL_V1
V::N_NIL_V2
V::N_NIL_Q1
V::N_NIL_Q2
V::N_NIL_S1
V::N_NIL_S2
V::N_NIL_SD

[EventId:201607131030_NRM_SA1_VIC1_started] NEGRES CONSTRAINT NRM_SA1_VIC1 started operating from 13 July 2016 10:30
Issued by Australian Energy Market Operator Ltd at 1030 hrs on 13 July 2016
ACTUAL NEGATIVE SETTLEMENT RESIDUES - SA to VIC - 13 July 2016.
Electricity Market outcomes have resulted in the accumulation of negative settlement residues that have exceeded the allowable negative residue threshold for the SA to VIC directional interconnector.
The negative residue constraint set NRM_SA1_VIC1 commenced operating from 1030 hrs on 13 July 2016.
This constraint set contains an equation with the following interconnectors on the LHS:
V-S-MNSP1
V-SA
The RHS of the constraint equation may be adjusted to manage residues.
