Possible intervention to manage power system security in South Australia (SA) Region
The synchronous generating units currently expected to be synchronised in SA from 0830 hrs 02/12/2021 will be inadequate to maintain sufficient system strength in SA and hence a secure operating state.

TransGrid has advised AEMO of a revision to the Darlington Point to Wagga (63) 330 kV line voltage collapse limit due to changes in a control scheme in the area. With this change the current voltage collapse limit will be replaced by a transient voltage limit - and allow for increased flows on 63 line.
AEMO has reviewed the limit advice and will make the following constraint equation changes at 1300 hrs Wednesday 1st December 2021:
Add - N::N_NIL_63
Remove - N^^N_NIL_2
The limit is for pre-contingent flow on 63 line. The constraint equation includes generators in south-west NSW and north-west Victoria on the left-hand side as well as Murraylink.
