Mel Walls

Mel Walls is responsible for leading AEMO’s People and Culture division.

Mel joined AEMO in October 2026, bringing more than two decades of experience in human resources and transformation across the energy and financial services sectors. Most recently, she served as Chief People Officer at Insignia Financial, one of Australia’s largest listed wealth management organisations.

Prior to joining Insignia Financial, Mel held senior leadership roles at AusNet Services and NAB.
