WEM Electricity Statement of Opportunities Forecasting Reference Group (WEM ESOO FRG)

AEMO is hosting two Forecasting Reference Groups (FRG) to support the development of this year’s 2026 WEM Electricity Statement of Opportunities (WEM ESOO).

The forums seeks to facilitate constructive discussion on matters relating to electricity forecasting and market modelling. It is an opportunity to validate assumptions, share expertise and explore new approaches to addressing the challenges of forecasting in a rapidly changing energy industry. Our aim is to improve the collective insights, understanding and outcomes of forecasting used by the WEM ESOO published in June.

The FRG is not a decision-making body.
