AEMO has completed consultation on the Retail Procedures Wholesale Demand Response. AEMO has published a Final Report and Determination on proposed amendments. The publication of this Final Report marks the conclusion of the consultation process.
Under the Wholesale Demand Response Mechanism WDRM, from October 2021, consumers will be able to sell demand response in the wholesale market. The WDRM Rule introduces a new market participant category, the Demand Response Service Provider DRSP .
AEMO has completed consultation on the delivery of proposed procedure changes to enable the Wholesale Demand Response in the National Electricity Market. Further details are provided in the Final Report and Determination.
