TasNetworks has published the Project Assessment Conclusions Report (PACR) for Meeting Network Planning Requirements at George Town. Publication of this PACR represents the final step in the Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (RIT-T) process following publication of the Project Specification Consultation Report and Project Assessment Draft Report (PADR) in November 2024 and May 2026, respectively.

This PACR concludes the Meeting Network Planning Requirements at George Town RIT-T process. TasNetworks will only implement the preferred solution following the commitment of sufficient new load connecting directly to the George Town substation and assessment of the expenditure as efficient and prudent by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER).

Parties wishing to dispute how TasNetworks has applied this RIT-T may raise a dispute notice with the AER before 15 November 2026 (30 days after publication of this PACR). If no dispute notices are raised, the RIT T process will conclude at this time. If a dispute notice is raised during this period, the AER will address any dispute notices within 40 to 120 days.

In accordance with the requirements of the NER, a summary of the Project Assessment Conclusions Report is made available on the AEMO website. A copy of the PACR can be obtained from TasNetworks’ website or by emailing [email protected].
