Life Support and Meter Maintenance B2B Procedures

AEMO is conducting a consultation on B2B Procedures on behalf of the Information Exchange Committee (IEC).

The Consultation is being conducted under clause 7.17.4 of the National Electricity Rules (NER), in accordance with the Rules consultation requirements in NER 8.9.2.

Matter under consultation

The changes (“Changes”) discussed (“Consultation”) support the implementation of:

• National Electricity Amendment (Supporting compliance with meter maintenance obligations) Rule 2026 No. 6
• National Energy Retail Amendment (Improving life support processes) Rule 2026 No. 2

The consultation also discusses:

• Issues relating to jurisdictional changes in Tasmania and the ACT instruments
• An error in the B2B system relating to generating a NotifiedParty transaction

The IEC invites comments on the proposed changes contained within the Notice of Consultation.
