AEMO published an Issues Paper in July 2015 seeking feedback on the energy adequacy assessment projection (EAAP) report published under rule 3.7C of the National Electricity Rules (NER). The Issues Paper sought to explore stakeholder opinion on proposed changes to the frequency of the EAAP report. Based on feedback received during consultation, AEMO recommends reducing the frequency of EAAP reporting from quarterly to annual and inserting triggers for additional reporting.
AEMO has proposed a Rule Change to the AEMC accordingly.
AEMO received submissions from the following stakeholders: CS Energy, EnergyAustralia, GDF Suez, Hydro Tasmania, Origin Energy, Snowy Hydro, and Stanwell. The submission pack is below.
