Gas Supply Guarantee Guidelines Final Determination
Following consultation, AEMO has determined to make an amendment to extend the expiry date in section 1.4(a) of the Gas Supply Guarantee Guidelines (the Guidelines) to 31 March 2023.

Guidelines consultation
AEMO invited comments on the Guidelines Consultation Notice on 19 February 2020. Submissions closed on 5:00pm (Melbourne time) on 18 March 2020. AEMO received three consultation submissions.
AEMO conducted a consultation on the Gas Supply Guarantee Guidelines. The Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction has written to AEMO to request that the term of the Gas Supply Guarantee framework be extended while further work is undertaken on the need to retain the GSG, or other similar mechanism.
