Gas Market Parameters Review 2026

Timeline

This notice informs all interested parties that AEMO is conducting the Gas Market Parameter Review 2026. The review covers the Short Term Trading Market (STTM). This review is being conducted under rule 492 of the National Gas Rules (NGR) for the STTM market parameters, in accordance with the standard consultative procedure requirements detailed in rule 8 of the NGR.

The STTM market parameters subject to the 2026 Review are:

• Market price cap (MPC);
• Administered price cap (APC);
• Cumulative price threshold (CPT);
• Minimum market price (MMP); and
• CPT horizon (CPTH).
