Matter under consultation

The Draft 2025 Electricity Network Options Report is part of AEMO’s two-yearly consultation on network inputs for the Integrated System Plan (ISP). The report identifies potential augmentation options in electricity networks within the National Electricity Market (NEM) which are an important input to the development of the 2026 ISP.

The report has been expanded to include both transmission and distribution opportunities, including proposed distribution network opportunities for investment to facilitate the operation of forecasted uptake of consumer energy resources and other distributed resources, and further consideration of social licence for transmission.

Stakeholder feedback on the Draft 2025 Electricity Network Options Report is welcome. Consultation submissions are due in PDF format to ISP@aemo.com.au by 5pm AEST on 23 June 2025. Please note that submissions will be published, other than confidential material, subject to AEMO’s Consultation submission guidelines.
