STPASA - Update of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the SA Region on 10/06/2026
The Forecast LOR2 condition in the SA region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 144205 has been updated to the following:
[1.] From 0830 hrs 10/06/2026 to 1700 hrs 10/06/2026.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 571 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 384 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 744 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 542 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 144162
At 2135 hrs the Woolooga to Teebar Creek 8850 275kV Line and the Teebar Ck No2 275kV Bus was returned to service.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 1013 hrs the Woolooga to Teebar Creek 8850 275kV Line and the Teebar Ck No2 275kV Bus tripped.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1197 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1012 MW.
[2.] From 2130 hrs 19/05/2026 to 2200 hrs 19/05/2026.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1199 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1146 MW.
