Update - Lightning vulnerable lines in Qld region
Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice 133798 and 133799
At 1650 hrs on 19/02/2026 the Goonyella - North Goonyella Tee - Stony Creek No. 7122 and Goonyella - Newlands No. 7155 132 kV lines tripped and auto reclosed.
The cause of the trip was identified as due to lightning.
In accordance with SO_OP_3715, AEMO now considers the Goonyella - North Goonyella Tee - Stony Creek No. 7122 and Goonyella - Newlands No. 7155 132 kV lines to be vulnerable with a category of probable due to lightning.

PDPASA - Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 1 (LOR1) in the SA Region on 27/02/2026
AEMO declares a Forecast LOR1 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the SA region for the following Periods:
[1.] From 1530 hrs 27/02/2026 to 1730 hrs 27/02/2026.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 440 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 390 MW.
[2.] From 2030 hrs 27/02/2026 to 2130 hrs 27/02/2026.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 659 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 459 MW.
