AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

Update - Lightning vulnerable lines in Qld region

Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice 130922 and 130953.

At 1334 hrs on 24/11/2025 the Terranora - Mudgeeraba H4 757 110kV and the Terranora - Mudgeeraba H4 758 110kV lines tripped and auto-reclosed.

The cause of the trip was identified as due to lightning.

In accordance with SO_OP_3715, AEMO now considers the the Terranora - Mudgeeraba H4 757 110kV and the Terranora - Mudgeeraba H4 758 110kV lines to be vulnerable with a category of probable due to lightning.

Identity Service upgrade in Production may cause users to experience performance degradations for login and authentication requests initiated. Users may experience session issues for logins initiated between 15:15 PM to 15: 45 PM AEST on 24/Nov/2025 for any of above services; however, we do not anticipate any com-plete outages.

As part of the Identity Service uplift activities, changes will be implemented to both the Markets Portal and the Internal Portal. Consequently, there is a possibility of intermittent outages affecting Internal Portal and Market Portal between 15:30 PM and 16:00 PM AEST.

NEM Local Temperature Alerts for QLD, SA from 24 Nov 2025 to 28 Nov 2025

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 24th Nov, 25th Nov, 28th Nov
Rockhampton Ap (39+ Deg C): 25th Nov

SA
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 24th Nov

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
