Fast Frequency Response Market - Local dispatch of Very Fast Contingency FCAS in QLD

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

Following a review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 27th Jan 2026 AEMO will increase the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Contingency FCAS in the QLD region from 20 MW to 100 MW, during periods where islanding of the QLD region is considered credible.

No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equations will be made on this date.

Participant Impact and Requirements: Planned maintenance to update the Marketnet SSLVPN Anyconnect client will commence on 19th Janurary 2026. This change will require a software upgrade for all Marketnet users connecting to the SSLVPN service marketnetvpn.aemo.com.au. The Anyconnect client upgrade installation will automatically occur on the next login after the change has been completed. Please note that if the installation fails, you may need to contact your IT team to confirm you have the correct permissions for your local PC to install the new client version.

The following impacts are expected to participant connectivity during this planned outage:

IPWAN Participants - No impact is expected

Lan-2-Lan VPN Participants (IPSEC) - No impact is expected

B2B VPN - No impact is expected.

SSL VPN Participants: All SSL VPN users will be required to update the Anyconnect VPN client upon connecting to the VPN after the change has completed.

GASHUB: No impact is expected

Other Impacts will have been communicated in advance.
