AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 132432 has been updated to the following:

[1.] From 1430 hrs 09/01/2026 to 1900 hrs 09/01/2026.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1400 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 848 MW.

Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 132444

At 2245 hrs the Moorabool - Geelong No 1 220kV Line and Moorabool - Geelong No 2 220kV Line were returned to service.

The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

Non-credible contingency event - VIC region - 03/01/2026

At 1939 hrs, the Moorabool - Geelong No 1 220kV Line and Moorabool - Geelong No 2 220kV Line tripped simultaneously.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

The minimum capacity reserve available is 1284 MW.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 617 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 595 MW.

Non-credible contingency event - QLD region - 31/12/2025

At 0304 hrs the T65 Alligator Ck - Oonooie 7175 132 kV line, Allligator Ck 132 kV SVC and Oonie 132 kV SVC tripped.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised of approximately 10 MW disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.
