On 15 January 2024, the Australian Energy Regulator published its transparency review of AEMO’s Draft 2024 Integrated System Plan (ISP). The AER concluded that AEMO adequately explained the majority of its inputs and assumptions, and how they contributed to Draft 2024 ISP outcomes. The report also identified some aspects of the Draft 2024 ISP where more explanation would improve transparency.
The Addendum to the Draft 2024 ISP addresses the matters raised in the AER’s transparency review by providing additional information on how AEMO has derived key inputs and assumptions and how they contributed to Draft 2024 ISP outcomes.
Consultation process and timeframes
AEMO has consulted with stakeholders on the Draft 2024 ISP. AEMO now invites stakeholders to provide written submissions on the content of this addendum. Submissions should be provided in PDF format to ISP@aemo.com.au by 5pm (AEST), Friday 3 May 2024.

AEMO will publish submissions on its website, subject to materiality and confidentiality requirements. Please identify any parts of your submission that you wish to remain confidential and explain why. Please read and take note of AEMO’s consultation guidelines.
AEMO will address submissions in relation to the Addendum in the 2024 ISP Consultation Summary Report.
