At 1521 hrs the Newport 220 kV Bus 1 and the Fishermans Bend 220/66 kV B2 transformer tripped.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

At 1027 hrs the Burnie No. 2 220/110kV transformer tripped on the 220kV side only, the B452 220kV circuit breaker opened.

At 1034 hrs the Burnie No. 2 220/110kV transformer was returned to service.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.

AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 0439 hrs 03/05/2021 at the Wodonga terminal station the No.1 and No.2 330/66/22 kV transformers tripped.
As a consequence of the protection operation the Dederang - Wodonga and the Jindera - Wodonga 330kV lines were offloaded.
34 MW of local load was lost.

At 0450 hrs the Dederang - Wodonga and the Jindera - Wodonga 330kV lines were restored to service.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

At 1133 hrs the Farrell-John Butters and Farrell-Rosebery-Newton-Queenstown lines tripped simultaneously and auto reclosed.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised of the disconnection of approximately 2MW of bulk electrical load.

The cause of this non credible contingency event has been identified and the lines have been reclassified. Refer AEMO Electricity Market Notice 84080.
