Change Description:

AEMO regularly receives Participant calls for Participant Data Model (PDM) assistance where Participants have maintained concurrent subscriptions to both the Current and Legacy versions of PDM files. Maintaining such subscriptions is ill-advised and can cause PDM systems to discard the Current file version as a duplicate in favour of the Legacy file version.

To assist the integrity of PDM systems, this change will implement an automatic daily check to see if a Participant ID is subscribed to the Current and Legacy files. If concurrent subscriptions are maintained for more than 14 Calendar days the Pre-production Legacy file will be un-subscribed. A future change will implement this into the production environment with un-subscription occurring after 5 Calendar days.

A future change will implement email notification 3 days prior to automatic un-subscription in pre-production. For production, an email notification will be included with the un-subscription change.

This communication provides a status update regarding the implementation of the rule determination made on 20 Feb 2020: National Electricity Amendment (Improving Transparency and Extending Duration of MT PASA), further to the status updates provided on Thursday 13 Aug 2020 and Thursday 29 Oct 2020.

AEMO will be updating the MTPASA PASA report from Tuesday 15 Dec 2020 to incorporate changes required to implement the rules determination.

The changes include:
o Extend published generation availability horizon from two to three years.
o Publish a maximum and minimum aggregated scheduled generating availability, adjusted for forced outage assumptions.
o Publish the maximum and minimum values of daily peak load forecast from both the adjusted 50% and 10% POE load traces used in the reliability assessment.

Participants are reminded of the requirements to submit 3 years of MT PASA bids.The report files will be available on NEMWEB in csv file format and via the FTP interface. These report files will be made available through the MMS model in 2021.
