Reduction in load relief in Tasmanian region - 6th January 2021
AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE
Further to MN 80127 and 81536, on 6th January at 1000hrs AEMO will reduce the load relief used to determine FCAS requirements from 0.8% to 0.7% for the Tasmanian region. This will increase the amount of contingency FCAS enabled by AEMO in the Tasmanian region.
This change is a part of AEMO's review of frequency in the NEM. The Tasmanian load relief will be slowly reduced by 0.1% on a fortnightly basis from the current 1.0%. Details were provided to market participants in an industry teleconference on 4th December 2020. There will be no change at this stage to the Mainland load relief.
