Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) Overview

This course provides an overview of the new Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), which goes live in WA in October 2023. The course focuses on key concepts new to the WEM including Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED), the new WEM dispatch engine, constraints, and bidding in the new WEM. Prior knowledge of the WEM is helpful but not necessary.

Cost:

This course is a pre-requisite to the new WEM Market go live in October 2023, as such there is no payment required for this course. Please note this may change for courses post October 2023 as the training evolves to suit the new Market.
