AEMO is conducting a Consultation on developing Demand Side Participation (DSP) Information Guidelines.
In March 2015, the AEMC made a final rule determination on National Electricity Rule Clause 3.7D that enables the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to request information on demand side participation (DSP) from registered participants in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
As part of this rule, AEMO is required to develop, maintain and publish a set of guidelines for providing DSP information in consultation with registered participants and other interested stakeholders. The information collected by AEMO will be taken into account when developing its electricity load forecasts.
The objective of this Consultation is to enable Consulted Persons to be involved during the development of the guidelines, and to be properly informed of the rationale for inclusion of proposed information requests.
