Weekly NEM Review Bulletin

Bulletin No. 611 summarises the outcomes for period midnight Sunday 22nd August to Saturday 28th August 2010.

Average maximum temperatures decreased in Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney, and increased in Hobart and Melbourne.

Average prices during week 611 increased all the regions of the NEM. The highest average price occurred in South Australia at $62.79, and the lowest was in South Australia at $-32.1. The majority of prices fell in the $21 to $30 per MWh range.

Demand averages in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, decreased in Victoria, and remained the same in Tasmania. The regional demand high for the week was 11,867.0 MW in New South Wales, and the low was 1013.8 MW in Tasmania.
