Multiple Generator Disconnection and Under Frequency Load Shedding Thursday 2nd July 2009

At 1047 hrs on the 2nd July 2009 a current transformer failed in NSW at the Bayswater Switchyard in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

The accompanying system disturbance was associated with multiple disconnections of Generators and Transmission lines along with operation of Under Frequency Load Shedding Schemes.  

This report does not include analysis of the incident but provides operational details of the events covering the period of the incident.
