Exemption Procedure
This document sets out the procedure for seeking an exemption from AEMO under the following clauses and schedule under National Electricty Rules
- Clause 7.11.2(a) from the requirement to repair a metering installation within 2 business days of detection of the fault for type 1,2 and 3 metering installations and 10 business days for type 5 and 6 metering installations.
- Clause 7.5.2 (b)from requirements to rectify the metering register discrepancy under clause 7.5.2 (a)
- Schedule S7.2.2 (c ) from requirements of S7.2.2 (a) and S7.2.2(b).
An application for an Exemption must be made using the application form (Application for Exemption) and an application for extension of an Exemption must be made using the application form (Application for Extension). The application for extension to an existing exemption is only applicable to exemption under clause 7.11.2(a).
